Who we are.
Jeany is drawn to the power of story for healing, creative expression, and building community. She loves to direct, act, sing, dance, write, devise, design, and dream up new ways to share theatre. Jeany is also an acting teacher, a creative programmer, a literary liaison for Wordcrafters, and most recently, a director for Madagascar Jr. for Rose Children’s Theatre.
Jeany got her BA from Trinity Western University, her MFA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and also took the acting sequence from the Theatre Arts Department at the University of Oregon.
Before returning to Eugene in 2023, Jeany and her husband David lived and worked in Canada with Rosebud Theatre and School of the Arts in Alberta and the Chemainus Theatre Festival in B.C.
Jeany also loves to be in water, is an avid track and field fan, never makes the same soup twice, and has learned more from being a mom than anything else.
David Snider recently relocated to Oregon after twenty-five years in Canada working with the Canadian Badlands Passion Play, Rosebud Theatre and School of the Arts and Chemainus Theatre Festival on Vancouver Island. Selected roles: Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha, Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, Leroy in Tent Meeting, and Mr. Tumnus in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. While continuing with theatre projects, David is working as a guide for Leadership Development (www.giantworldwide.com) and as Development Director for Gutenberg College (www.gutenberg.edu).
